The idea to build a home in the cave came a former businessman in the moment when he was diagnosed with "multiple sclerosis". Angelo thought he would like to live in a place where he would be happy and healthy.

Angelo discovered the cave with his friends during a bicycle ride in 1999. The cave has been abandoned since the 1940's. In 2010, Angelo returned to the UK from Australia, learned that it is sold ... and bought it.
