The universe in which we live - a rather strange place. The man did not even explore it completely, simply because they have no such possibility. Most of the available information at this time - it's theoretical calculations of scientists. They, fortunately, supported by observations of the spacecraft, but who knows what is actually happening in deep space?
Albert Einstein said about the existence of gravitational waves in 1916, but proved his calculations only a hundred years. The world of science was delighted that people come to realize that space-time - is quite tangible financial value.
Interplanetary Transport Network
It sounds like the name of the book writer of science fiction. However, interplanetary transport network - perhaps the most remarkable phenomenon in our universe. It is a set of paths based on the severity of the rival heavenly bodies. Satellites and spacecraft may even use a transport network to navigate between objects without using energy.
Most of us were taught in school that there are three types of matter: solid, liquid and gaseous. But there is a fourth: plasma, the most common substance in the universe.
The glow of the sky
A unique phenomenon that can only be seen from space. Luminescence appears from the release energy of the atoms and molecules in the atmosphere high. Releasing its energy received from the sun for a day, the molecules can produce visible light - oxygen, for example, gives the green.
Regulation of the Sun
The sun alone governs the state of its own nucleus. When too much of the hydrogen atoms collide and merge occurs at a too high speed, the core is heated and expands slightly to the outer layers. Additional space reduces the density of atoms, and hence collision frequency - the core begins to cool by starting the reverse process.
One of the strangest things that astronomers have to face - dark matter. This hypothetical substance from which (theoretically) is composed of 80% of the universe. Scientists divide the particles in the Large Hadron Collider, trying to figure out whether it actually exists.
Although none of the mission to the nearest star after the Sun, Proxima Centauri, scheduled was not, it is there and not look for extraterrestrial intelligence. Unfortunately, the spacecraft will be traveling to Proxima Centauri much as 74,000 Earth years.
