• Antique hotel on the French Riviera

To the hotel, advertised in popular guidebooks, I am always wary of ... Unfortunately, practice shows that after mentioning in any guide, hotel service deteriorate as rapidly as increasing the price of a room ... and after I had a couple of times honor to see this in person, the recommendations of the guides to the hotel I stopped using for reasons of principle! The benefit and necessity of such at me since almost never was, as all the village, we tend to buy in advance, carefully choosing ...

And what was my surprise when the day before traveling to the Côte d'Azur (in the Verdon Gorge area), I suddenly found that one out of a hotel room I have not only appears in the recommended list, but highlighted it in bold marked "AUTHOR'S CHOICE" ( author's choice).

Suppressing the urge to immediately cancel the reservation and order something else again, I carefully studied the description of the hotel, read reviews, and figured alternatives ... I decided to still settle just in it! The blessing was supposed to live there only a couple of nights ...

It was all much more interesting than one might imagine from the descriptions and even pictures !!!

FERME ROSE (so called hotel) - an amazing eclectic mix of vintage, antique (probably even collectable) items and kitsch accessories, arranged, laid out, hung over all possible planes of all possible facilities and complemented by souvenirs which obviously brings here already tourists themselves ...

Museum? ...

Fantasy tasteless designer?

Ravings of a madman?

Yes it all together! Plus gentle caring owners who clearly put a piece of his soul here !!! (Not to mention the dedication, which is kept clean and regularly wipe the dust on all the items in the collection !!!)

What is just no !!! All public areas are crammed to overflowing collection of exhibits.

And where is all this just is not ... There are also special rack cabinets ...

There is even a special cubbyhole behind a glass partition or an openwork cast exclusively for storage of exhibits and non-bearing (apparently) no other functional load!

Not to mention the fact that the natural plane is used to the maximum !!!

And even ordinary beams are narrow shelves, which can still be something to put ...

Do not lag behind and street design!

Even the decor a little kitchenette, which serves breakfast (dinner is not here) ...

The decor more reserved, but also soaked in an appropriate style!

and beautiful views from the window, which in this whole motley also appear only as part of the interior !!!

By the way funny detail: the doors of hotel rooms is not absolutely ikak numbers or markings! ) Only a small round mirror!

Oh ... my photo galleries seem not entered and the tenth part of what can be found there ...

And personally, my heart just sank more antique (or just plain old ... never understood the difference between these concepts) hospitality calls !!! Now there are already nowhere to be see ... Although I think it's wildly stylish !!!
