The Japanese period of

Seydou Doumbia, who scored in his home country has struck the entire world, joined the Japanese club "Kashiwa Reysol" but there he failed to show the same impressive results. In 24 games, he scored just three goals, so in 2008 he was shipped out to the club, "Tokushima Vortis." There he went to a game already much better - in 16 games, he scored seven goals. Naturally, such a talent could not remain outside the focus of European clubs, and in 2008 for 130 thousand euros Doumbia moved to the Swiss, "Young Boys".

Moving to Europe

It is in the "Young Boys" and began to open the player talent to the fullest. For two seasons at the club he has played 78 matches and scored 57 goals. It was an incredible figure, which could not fail to notice the other larger and more famous clubs. Many teams were interested in such a talented African players like Seydou Doumbia. CSKA, however, turned out to be the most attractive option. And in 2010, the Ivorian moved to Russia, where he signed a contract with the army club, who paid the Swiss and eleven million euros. There he came to a little over half a year and has scored 11 goals in 21 games, but the Russian club could not agree on the repurchase of its player, so in winter 2016 Seydou went to rent another, this time in English "Newcastle". There he generally could not settle down - on the field, he was released only three times, and while he failed to score a single goal.

And in the summer of 2016 Doumbia was again loaned out, this time in a year-long. Forward back to Switzerland, where he began his European tour, but this time began to speak for the "Basel". To date, he has already played in 17 matches, scoring nine goals.
